Careers at Okula

Build the platform every school district deserves.

Okula Haven gives K-12 districts an accessible website, board governance, policy, hiring, and notifications — in one place, on their own domain. We are a small, senior team that cares about craft, accessibility, and the public institutions we serve. If that sounds like you, we would love to talk.

Open roles

  • K-12 Account Executive

    SalesRemote (US) — NJ/NY/PA territory preferredFull-time

Own the district relationship from first call to signed purchase order. You'll work a real pipeline: prospect districts and charters, run demos on live demo sites, build quotes with our internal calculator, and walk deals through the way schools actually buy — board approval, purchase orders, and net-terms invoicing. You know (or will learn fast) how K-12 procurement works: budget season, co-op purchasing, and the difference between a superintendent's interest and a business administrator's sign-off. What you'll do: • Work your call list and prospect book in our sales desk every day • Run tailored demos using real district demo sites we build for each prospect • Produce quotes and shepherd PO/invoice paperwork with the district's business office • Hand a signed district to onboarding with everything they need What we're looking for: 2+ years selling to schools, local government, or another PO-driven buyer — or district office experience on the buying side. You write clearly, follow up relentlessly, and never oversell what the product does.

  • District Onboarding & Implementation Specialist

    Customer SuccessRemote (US)Full-time

Take a district from signed PO to a live, beautiful website — often in days, not months. You'll run our site importer against the district's existing website, review and polish what it brings over, build their new site in our template-driven Site Builder, load their brand kit, and train their staff. You are the person who makes "we can deliver a fully functioning website in a weekend" true, every time. What you'll do: • Run and QA website imports (content, links, documents) from the district's old site • Build district and school sites from our template library and their brand • Configure modules, set up their team's accounts, and lead training sessions • Be the district's first-90-days point of contact What we're looking for: experience in web content management, EdTech onboarding, or school communications. An eye for detail — you notice a broken link, a misspelled principal's name, an off-brand color. Comfortable teaching non-technical staff.

  • Sales Development Representative (K-12)

    SalesRemote (US)Full-time

Fill the top of the funnel: research districts, make the calls, book the demos. You'll live in our sales desk — a daily call list, prospect statuses, and next-call scheduling built into the platform. Your job is conversations: find districts stuck on dated, inaccessible, or expensive websites, and get them curious enough to see a demo built from their own site. What you'll do: • Research and qualify districts and charter schools (size, state, current vendor, contract timing) • Make outbound calls and emails; log every touch and schedule every follow-up • Book qualified demos for Account Executives and keep the pipeline data clean • Learn K-12 buying seasons so outreach lands when budgets are being set What we're looking for: hungry, organized, coachable. Prior SDR or school-facing experience helps but isn't required — clear writing and phone comfort are.

  • Web Accessibility Specialist (WCAG / ADA)

    ComplianceRemote (US)Full-time or Contract

Accessibility is our product promise — you make sure it's always true. Districts face real legal exposure under ADA Title II, and our platform ships with accessibility built in. You'll audit imported and client-built sites against WCAG 2.1 AA, remediate content (alt text, heading structure, documents), review our templates and features before release, and help districts respond to OCR complaints and accessibility plans. What you'll do: • Audit district sites (automated scan review + manual keyboard/screen-reader testing) • Remediate imported content and legacy PDFs • Gate new templates and features on accessibility review • Support sales with honest accessibility assessments of prospect sites What we're looking for: working knowledge of WCAG 2.1/2.2, screen readers (VoiceOver/NVDA/JAWS), and document accessibility. IAAP certification (CPACC/WAS) a plus, not a requirement.

  • Full-Stack Engineer (Next.js / Supabase)

    EngineeringRemote (US)Full-time

Build the platform districts run on: Next.js App Router, Supabase (Postgres + RLS), TypeScript, deployed on Vercel. The codebase is modern and moves fast: a multi-tenant CMS with a template-driven site builder, a module entitlement system, our own website importer/crawler, an internal CRM and quoting back office, and a heavy emphasis on accessibility and row-level security. You'll ship features end to end — schema and RLS policies through server components and UI. What you'll do: • Ship features across the district console, public sites, and platform back office • Write RLS policies and guarded RPCs like the tenant boundary depends on it (it does) • Extend the importer/crawler and template systems • Hold the accessibility and performance bar on everything you ship What we're looking for: strong TypeScript + React/Next.js, real SQL comfort (Postgres; RLS experience a big plus), and the judgment to keep a multi-tenant system safe. You test what you build and say honestly what you didn't.

  • Support & Success Associate (K-12)

    Customer SuccessRemote (US)Part-time to start

Be the friendly, fast answer when a school secretary can't update the lunch menu. Our users are district communications staff, principals' assistants, and web editors — busy people who need clear answers. You'll handle support requests, write help articles as you go, run refresher trainings, and flag product friction to engineering with enough detail to get it fixed. What you'll do: • Answer district support requests with patience and actual solutions • Build the help center article by article from real questions • Run small-group trainings for district web editors • Track recurring friction and advocate for fixes What we're looking for: crisp writing, genuine patience, and comfort learning software deeply. School front-office or help-desk experience is a great signal. Grows into a full-time success role as we add districts.
